BKP Berolina GmbH & Co. KG and Vortex Companies, LLC become partners. For the Berlin-based liner manufacturer the company from Houston, USA, is the ideal partner for expanding its sales network on the American continent. The establishment of a warehouse by Vortex will also ensure significantly shorter delivery times to the USA, Canada and Mexico.
“We offer our customers an alternative solution in the field of trenchless pipe rehabilitation. Since our product launch in 1996, our Berolina-Liner System has offered a level of quality and performance unmatched among light-curing pipe liners. Both end customers and installers will benefit from this,” says Thomas Christiansen, CEO of the BKP Berolina Group. “With this step we can also guarantee our long-term partners in North America better availability and faster delivery times. With Mark Hallett, we have also been able to win over one of the most recognized profiles in the US and absolute expert in the UV-CIPP area as well as his team as a competence support. As a result, we offer a broader range of advice in the respective time zones. We are very excited to be working with the Vortex team. They have already celebrated many successes in introducing products and technologies to the US market.”

Developed for gravity sewers ranging from 6″-63″ in diameter, Berolina-Liner is precisely manufactured using resin impregnated glass fiber complexes between two watertight film tubes equipped with styrene barriers. In addition to the Berolina-Liner, the Berolina-HF-Liner with a higher e-modulus of elasticity for the efficient rehabilitation of large profiles and the Berolina-LP-Liner for the rehabilitation of sewage pressure pipes up to 3 bar internal pressure are offered. In contrast to conventional felt liners, the Berolina-Liner is cured with a UV light source. This means maximum flexibility on the construction site and shorter installation times.
“We’ve done our due-diligence and believe the Berolina-Liner technology and installation advantages are best-in-class. I have tapped Mark Hallett, VP & General Manager of our Vortex Technology Group, to lead all commercial efforts related to Berolina-Liner. Under his leadership, I could not be more excited about the future of this product line,” added Andrew Gonnella, President, Vortex Products Division.
