We had the honor of welcoming many of our partners and customers frontline teams to Velten and Berlin the week before last. In addition to an exchange of experiences, the kick-off in Berlin offered insights into a lot of installation-related topics referring to our Berolina-Liners etc.
Instead of Christmas presents, we are once again making a donation to the Björn Schulz Foundation in Berlin on behalf of our customers and employees this year. On St Nicholas’ Day, BKP CEO Thomas Christiansen presented a cheque to the Björn Schulz Foundation in Berlin.
During “Stadtradeln”, our riders collected 3,006 kilometers – for the climate and their own health. In the ranking of the municipality of Velten, BKP takes a strong fourth place and has the best result among the employers in Velten.
Thomas Christiansen makes it clear what the liner @CarboSeal, manufactured in the BKP factory, can do for the rehabilitation of district heating pipes, where it already is was installed and what @PPR Deutschland GmbH is all about.
Arkil Inpipe used Berolina-Liners to rehabilitate sewers in the dimensions DN 1,000 and DN 1,400 in Osnabrück, Germany, partly under adverse conditions. With the help of a BKP application technician, this project of the collaboration that has been going on since 1997 could also be successfully completed.
AST Grupo rehabilitated a total of 2,347 meters of a sewage pipe with Berolina-HF-Liners in Asturias, Spain. The fact that the box profiles of the discharge pipe sewers, which primarily measure 1,400 x 1,000 mm, have different dry weather gutters, a number of step joints and crossing lines in the crown area made it an ambitious undertaking.
With Christmas approaching, we want to turn our focus to those who for whom health does not come easy. We made a donation to the Björn Schulz Stiftung’s “Sonnenhof” children’s hospice in Berlin.
The Berolina-Liner is 25 years old! In 1997, BKP Berolina delivered the first liner to Teerbau Rohrtechnik GmbH. Since then, many customers and companions have been added. We want to say THANK YOU!

The cancellation of IFAT 2020 due to the Covid 19 pandemic by the operators of Messe München is understandable and is fully supported by BKP Berolina. The BKP Berolina partner meeting in Dresden, which was planned in advance of the IFAT, is also canceled.
Our sales manager for GRP pipe coating Marco Warkotz-Gruber, who usually travels at least three days a week on business trips, would like to describe his new day-to-day work life as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic from his home office near Hanover.
Lars Quernheim will take position as COO of BKP Berolina starting 14 April 2020 and will primarily be responsible for the areas of business development, R&D and product management.

Our long-time managing shareholder Ralf Odenwald has left BKP Berolina after almost 25 years. Everyone at BKP would like to thank him once again for all he has accomplished.
The Dresden-based T3 BKP GmbH, owned by Göran Grosse, is acquiring the remaining 25 percent of BKP Berolina and will thus become the sole shareholder. Former managing partner Ralf Odenwald retired.
Marco Warkotz-Gruber is starting his new job at BKP Berolina Polyester GmbH & Co. KG. Since the beginning of the year, he has been responsible for the area of pipe coating as a sales manager.

Our long-time export manager, Michael Röling, is retiring. This leaves us a real specialist, an excellent seller, an eloquent speaker and, above all, an always helpful, committed and unique colleague.
For the first time BKP Berolina delivered liners to Cheboksary, Russia. Three application technicians trained and guided the new crew and installed two Berolina-Liners DN 1,000, 11 mm with a length of 120 to 140 meters.
Since 1 July 2019, Thomas Christiansen has been a part of BKP Berolina Polyester GmbH & Co. KG in his role as managing director.
The training program developed by BKP Berolina has been a major success in Turkey.
With the help of the GRP surface protection of BKP Berolina, pulling in the borehole of the 656 metre long pipe without mechanical damage was completed in August 2018.
